Key duties and responsibilities:
Act as the Council's Proper Officer, ensuring legal compliance.
Prepare agendas, minutes and support Parish Council meetings.
Advise the Council on governance and procedures.
Manage the Council's finances, budgets and accounts.
Maintain records, policies and the Council website.
Liaise with residents, contractors and external organisations.
Ensure compliance with transparency and GDPR requirements.
Excellent administrative, organisational and communication skills.
Able to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of financial administration and basic accounting.
Professional and diplomatic approach.
Previous Parish Clerk, RFO or local government experience desirable.
Knowledge of local council procedures and finance is an advantage.
