Introduction to the NSIP process - 02 November 2026

Europe/London
Add to calendar:

This webinar is part of a series of sessions for parish and town councils in Suffolk affected by Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPS). Whether you are new to NSIPs or have more experience of the process, we are covering themes that are relevant to all.

Join us on Monday 2 November on Zoom, 1pm, for a one-hour webinar which will introduce the process NSIPs must go through to secure development consent from the Secretary of State.

We welcome speaker Emyr Thomas, Partner and Parliamentary Agent at Sharpe Pritchard LLP who will give a 45-minute presentation, followed by 15 minutes for Q&As.

The introductory session, which is aimed at those new to the NSIP regime, will consist of, and cover matters including:

·       Introduction to an NSIP.

·       Length of the process.

·       What and who is involved.

·       How local councils can get involved.

The NSIP process is complex and time consuming, but this webinar aims to provide practical, informative and easy-to-understand insight.

Add this webinar to your calendar in the top right corner.

Please note: the webinar and Q&As will be recorded to share with councils and stakeholders after the webinar.

The session will be chaired by SALC’s CEO, Sally Longmate.

If you have any questions, please raise the matter via our portal or email: engagement@suffolk-alc.gov.uk.

We look forward to seeing you there!
