      Hollesley Parish Council is seeking an organised and self-motivated person to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Parish Council.

      This is a part-time role of 12 hours per week, primarily home-based, with attendance at scheduled Parish Council meetings. 

      Key duties and responsibilities:

      Overall responsibility for administration, finances, governance and management of land and property (including the Cemetery and Allotments), as well as providing advice and support to Council decision-making.

      Person Specification:
      • Experience of local government governance and finance is desirable

      • Good inter-personal communication skills informed by an inquiring and curious mind

      • Sound finance skills and commercial awareness

      • An understanding of the ethos of public service, together with the need for accountability and community engagement

      • Sound IT skills embracing use of Office suite of software (Excel, Word and Outlook), and on-line meeting communication software

      • An understanding and experience of planning law and policy and commitment to keep abreast of probable changes

      • CILCA qualification would be an advantage coupled to a self-development mind-set
